Today, May 2, 2026, Iwate Nippo has released “Travel Trading Cards – 100 Views of Iwate” Vol.1, a new trading card collection featuring scenic spots and landscapes from across Iwate Prefecture. Each pack contains 5 cards from a series of 26, priced at 500 yen (tax included). The cards are available at bookstores, tourist facilities, and other retailers throughout the prefecture.

“Travel Trading Cards – 100 Views of Iwate” is a collection that captures the seasonal landscapes, traditional festivals, and historic architecture of Iwate Prefecture on a single trading card. The front of each card features striking photography, while the back includes points of interest along with a multilingual QR code.
Scanning the QR code takes you to a dedicated website where each card you collect is registered, turning your smartphone into a personal “card folder.” More than just a collection, these cards are designed to inspire you to visit the places themselves — your next journey through Iwate begins here.
