The Iwate Nippo is pleased to announce the release of “Tabi Toreca: 100 Views of Iwate”, launching on Saturday, May 2, 2026. This trading card collection features the prefecture’s landscapes, festivals, and historic sites, and is part of an initiative to promote regional tourism across Iwate. The cards will be available at hotels and inns, roadside stations (michi-no-eki), bookstores, and other locations throughout the prefecture.

Card Features

The cards feature striking images previously published in the Iwate Nippo newspaper, including Kaiun Bridge with Mt. Iwate (Morioka), the Saitogi fire festival (Ninohe), Takashimizu Observatory (Tono), and the Miracle Pine of Rikuzentakata.

Cards are graded by how easily you might encounter each scene in person. Three-star Super Rare cards feature a special holographic finish.
